With the approval of the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), the Hannahville Indian Community's online casino website will now be hosted by 888's VHL Michigan subsidiary.

As part of the deal, VHL Michigan will provide the tribe—which manages the Island Resort and Casino—with igaming support through its Sports Illustrated brand.

This arrangement was finalised following the withdrawal of Churchill Downs Incorporated's TwinSpires B2B sports betting business from the agreement in July. The Hannahville tribe had previously relied on this company as their platform supplier for online casino gaming and internet sports betting.

With this most recent agreement, VHL Michigan has continued its role as the tribe's online sports betting operator, which it assumed in September.

Unfortunately, Michigan residents can no longer use Twin Spires for online gambling or sports betting.

"I hope the Hannahville tribe continues to thrive as they re-establish their online gaming and sports betting services in Michigan," expressed Henry Williams, executive director of the MGCB.

In order to safeguard the interests of Michiganders, the MGCB is tasked with ensuring that fair and honest gaming is conducted.
