KSA has earlier pursued legal action against the same group, accusing them of putting on events that drew hundreds of people. According to the authority, several of the attendees at the illicit bingo events were under the age of 18.

The "Dordtse Queens" business was discovered to be advertising bingo on Facebook in an earlier KSA probe. Following KSA's request, the parent firm of the social networking platform, Meta, removed these pages.

But when KSA dug more, they found that the same group was still advertising and running illicit bingo on other websites.

Rewards seized in the course of the raid
A physical bingo event was located in Dordrecht, according to KSA inspectors. About 200 individuals were there when it raided the establishment. The raid resulted in the seizure of branded apparel, bags, and shoes that were up for grabs. 

Bingo is legal in the Netherlands, but only under very specific circumstances. One example is a game played amongst close-knit groups of individuals who already know each other, like a family or a workplace.

Bingo events for charitable purposes can also be planned by associations, with prizes not exceeding €1,550 (£1,356/$1,683). A licence from the town hall is needed for these games.

The rules of bingos and lotteries are not often known by the general public, according to KSA. Nobody under the age of 18 should ever play bingo, and it is against the law for them to do so illegally. A hefty fine could befall those who organise illicit bingos and lotteries as well.

Crackdown on illicit gambling in the Dutch market initiates by KSA
This case is just the most recent illustration of KSA's attempt to combat the prevalence of illicit gambling within the nation.

A fine of €900,000 was levied against MKC Limited last month for providing gaming services in the Netherlands without a licence. The organization's unauthorised Betworld247 site welcomed players from the Netherlands.

At Betworld247, players could open an account using Dutch address details and gamble online. Saudi Arabia said that no technological precautions had been taken to exclude Dutch participants, pointing to possible IP blockades as an illustration. 

The Dutch Betting and Gaming Act was violated by MKC's practices, according to KSA. In order to lawfully provide gaming services, this means that all operators must have the appropriate local licenses.

MKC's Maltese licence was revoked earlier this year as well.
